Advanced ultrasound workshop in Riga, Latvia, 14-15 May 2026. An educational initiative by ESGAR, endorsed by EFSUMB.

The workshop covers contrast-enhanced ultrasound, elastography, and steatosis quantification of the liver, plus intestinal and bowel ultrasound. Participants practise ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainages, and fusion techniques. Lectures and case discussions run from basic technique to guidelines and new abdominal ultrasound methods, with live demonstrations and daily hands-on sessions.

Diffuse liver disease, biliary tree pathology, cirrhosis, HCC, and inflammatory bowel disease are the focus, including quantification and treatment guidance.

Target group: radiologists, radiology residents, and ultrasound specialists.
